    Day 1

    Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra | Drive to Phuentsholing (155 km)

    Welcome to the gateway of the Himalayas and the beginning of your Bhutan adventure.

    Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, meet the Traviator team and fellow riders. We begin our scenic road transfer toward Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s border town, travelling through the lush Dooars and Hashimara region.

    As the plains slowly give way to rolling foothills, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the Eastern Himalayas—setting the tone for the journey ahead.

    After entering Bhutan, immigration formalities for the entry permit are completed. Post check-in at the hotel, the evening is kept relaxed to help you acclimatize before the ride begins.

    Day 2

    Day 2: Ride from Phuentsholing to Thimphu (145 km)

    The engines finally roar to life.

    After breakfast, riders are introduced to their motorcycles along with the trip captain, bike marshal, mechanic, and support crew. A short visit to the RTO office is made for riding permit endorsement.

    Once formalities are complete, we begin our first mountain ride, climbing steadily through dense forests, smooth curves, and scenic switchbacks. En route, enjoy cascading waterfalls of the Chhukha region and the panoramic Tala Dam viewpoint.

    Arrive in Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city, where tradition and modern lifestyle blend effortlessly. After check-in, the evening is free to explore cafés, local markets, and the vibrant town atmosphere.

    Day 3

    Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing | Ride to Phobjikha Valley (130 km)

    Today offers a beautiful mix of culture, views, and riding pleasure.

    Begin the day with a ride to the majestic Buddha Dordenma, overlooking Thimphu Valley. Next, visit Simply Bhutan, a living museum showcasing Bhutanese traditions and heritage.

    Post sightseeing, ride towards Dochula Pass (10,200 ft)—famous for its 108 Druk Wangyal Stupas and sweeping Himalayan views.

    After lunch, descend into the tranquil Phobjikha Valley, known for its open meadows and as the winter habitat of the rare Black-Necked Cranes.

    Check in and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

    Day 4

    Day 4: Phobjikha to Punakha (80 km)

    After breakfast, visit the serene Gangtey Monastery, perched high above the valley.

    We then ride toward Punakha, descending through scenic mountain roads and changing landscapes. Upon arrival, explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of two sacred rivers.

    Later, walk across the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge, Bhutan’s longest, offering breathtaking river and valley views.

    Day 5

    Day 5: Punakha to Paro (128 km)

    Start the day with a visit to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple), known for its folklore and spiritual significance.

    Post visit, ride toward Paro, crossing through Dochula Pass and passing through Thimphu town. En route, halt at Chuzom Bridge, the scenic confluence of Paro Chhu and Thimphu Chhu rivers.

    Arrive in Paro and explore the local market, cafés, and traditional eateries during the evening.

    Day 6

    Day 6: Tiger’s Nest Monastery Trek (7 km)

    A spiritual and visual highlight of the expedition.

    After breakfast, begin the moderate trek to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang)—dramatically perched on a cliff face. The trail winds through pine forests, prayer flags, and panoramic viewpoints.

    Explore the monastery complex and sacred chambers before descending by afternoon. Evening is free, with an optional traditional hot stone bath (self-paid) for relaxation.

    Day 7

    Day 7: Paro to Phuentsholing via Chele La Pass (145 km)

    The most thrilling riding day of the expedition.

    Begin early and ascend toward Chele La Pass (13,000 ft)—the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Expect crisp mountain air, expansive Himalayan views, and seasonal snow patches.

    After spending time at the pass, descend and continue the long yet rewarding ride back to Phuentsholing.

    Bikes are handed over upon arrival, followed by a relaxed evening.

    Day 8

    Day 8: Phuentsholing to Bagdogra (155 km)

    After breakfast, board the support vehicle for the return journey to Bagdogra Airport.
